This chapter covers the basic definitions of speed, velocity, displacement, and acceleration, as well as free-fall and the acceleration due to gravity. Motion will be discussed conceptually and students will become acquainted with graphs of motion.  The  delta (Δ) notation for denoting a changing quantity will be introduced.
